WILLIAMS HALL REMODELING
FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA
Original built in 1924, Williams Hall evolved
with modifications and additions taking place in 1931, 1945, and 1978. However,
there were no as-built drawings from earlier construction for this most recent
renovation. Upon completion of our design we were commissioned for construction
threshold inspections. We are working closely with the Owner, Architect and
Contractor to bring the project to a successful conclusion. During
construction, several discoveries were made during construction that required
redesign of several components. Among these was the discovery of the adjacent
structure's foundation system, which changed the location of the sheet piles
for the new addition.
